IMRA Team following on from the inaugural Somalia Middle Ear Surgery projects in May 2024, visited again from 30th January to 2nd February 2025.
Al-Ihsan Hospital based in Mogadishu, Somalia was the venue for IMRA's charity work.
Mr Noweed Ahmad who is Director of IMRA's Cochlear Implant and Middle Ear Surgery, Mr Haroon Khan (Chair - IMRA) and Mr Owais Mattoo from Peterborough flew to Mogadishu and operated on 26 patients who had extensive ear disease.
IMRA Team was supported by the local ENT Surgeon Dr Ahmad Tohow who was the main organiser for this project locally.
IMRA plans to broaden this project and more teams will be visiting in future to help these poor patients.
